Lesley Blanch (1904–2007) was a distinguished English traveller, historian and bestselling author. As Vogue features editor during WWII, she worked with Lee Miller and Cecil Beaton who became lifelong friends. A scholarly romantic, she effortlessly bridged Western and Eastern cultures. Blanch pioneered the group biography genre with her 1954 classic, The Wilder Shores of Love. Her memoirs, On The Wilder Shores of Love and Far To Go and Many To Love, are published by Virago.
